Savannah Tree Experts is a family-owned, ISA-certified tree service based at 412 Bull Street in the heart of Savannah's Historic District. For more than fifteen years our certified arborists have cared for the live oaks, magnolias, pines, and palmettos that define coastal Georgia. We know these trees because we grew up under them — and because we have spent careers learning how to keep them alive in one of the most demanding tree-care climates in the country.

Our Story

Founded in 2009 by a Savannah native and ISA Certified Arborist, the company started as a single-truck operation focused on heritage live oak care. Today we run a fleet that includes a 28-ton boom truck, multiple chip trucks, a 600 HP chipper, and a stable of stump grinders. We employ our own crews — no subcontractors — and every team includes at least one ISA Certified Arborist on site.

What Makes Us Different

Three things, repeated on every job. First, certification: we are credentialed by the International Society of Arboriculture and we work to ANSI A300 standards. Second, insurance: full general liability and workers' compensation, with certificates issued directly from our carrier for every customer. Third, accountability: written scopes, MPC permits in hand, and a final walkthrough before we leave. None of that is optional.

Coastal Georgia Specialists

Tree care in the Lowcountry is its own discipline. Spanish moss biology, salt exposure on Tybee, the heritage tree ordinance, the MPC permit process, hurricane-driven structural pruning, and the soil-compaction issues unique to historic urban lots — none of this is in a textbook. It is learned by working here every week, year after year. We do.

We refuse work that damages trees. We do not top live oaks. We will not remove a regulated tree without an MPC permit. We turn down jobs that are unsafe or unjustified. That is not marketing — it is the only way to run a company that wants to be in Savannah for another fifteen years.
